MATT HARTLEIB
Matt Hartleib joined the BCA Board in 2022 and currently serves as the Secretary. He and his
wife Kara are the proud parents of two BCA students. Hank (class of 2026) and Joia (class of
2031). Matt and Kara both grew up in Baytown and are active members at Missouri Street
Church of Christ serving as teachers and youth group leaders. The Hartleibs have volunteered
in a variety of ways since joining the BCA family in 2012: classroom events, field trip chaperones, PSIA, and athletics. Matt has worked in local government for 15 years, currently leading the human resources team for the City of La Porte. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and is currently completing a Master’s of Public Service through Texas A&M University. In his limited spare time, Matt enjoys travelling and relaxing with his family ideally near the beach.

JULIE ANDERSON
Julie Anderson has been a part of the BCA family for 15 years. Her sons, Colton and Braydon, are BCA alumni, and her husband, Jeromey, coached football & baseball at BCA. She also chaired the BCA Dinner Auction committee for 6 years. She knows the importance of Christian education because she graduated from private school herself. She has been involved in local church youth and women’s ministries and has served on the BCA board since 2018. She enjoys watching sports with her husband, shopping, traveling and spending time with her boys and family!

DR. ANTHONY GARBS
Born and raised in Crosby, TX, Dr. Anthony Garbs attended Crosby High School before pursuing his undergraduate studies. He then advanced to Texas Chiropractic College, where his academic excellence earned him to the honor or graduating salutatorian of his class. After gaining valuable experience as an associate doctor. Dr. Garbs and his wife Crystal, also a chiropractor, founded Mont Belvieu Family Wellness in October 2004. Also in 2004, Dr. Garbs was a professor at Lee College and taught Anatomy and Physiology in the nursing program. For 20 years, he has proudly served the Mont Belvieu and surrounding communities, offering dedicated care and expertise.
Dr. Garbs and his wife Crystal are proud parents of two daughter, Grayson and Emerson, aged 15 and 12, who currently attend Baytown Christian Academy. Beyond his professional practice, Dr. Garbs is deeply involved in the local community where he volunteers his time and participates in local events often. He enjoys supporting BCA football teams on Friday nights, ensuring players are in top condition for their games. Dr Garbs has attended Second Baptist, North Campus for the past 14 years. When not at the office, Dr. Garbs enjoys fishing, working out, and cherishing quality time with his family.

MICHAEL MANLEY
Michael P. Manley has distinguished himself in the field of education, particularly within the Goose Creek Independent School District, where his career of over three decades culminated in his most recent role as Director of Operations before his retirement. His professional journey is marked by significant accomplishments and
growth, starting notably with his tenure as head football coach at Sterling High School. In this pivotal role, Manley showcased his exceptional
leadership abilities and a profound commitment to nurturing student athletes both on and off the field. His efforts were characterized by a deep dedication to instilling values of integrity, hard work, and perseverance, earning him widespread respect and admiration. After establishing a solid foundation as a coach, Manley’s career trajectory within the Goose Creek School District saw him taking on increasingly
significant operational responsibilities. His ascension to Director of Operations was a testament to his broad skill set, encompassing not just educational leadership but also an intricate understanding of the operational intricacies essential for maintaining effective and conducive learning environments.
Beyond his professional achievements, Manley is deeply involved in his community through his active membership at Faith Family Church, where he plays a pivotal role on the Dream Team focused on food distribution.
This engagement underscores his commitment to giving back and supporting those in need.
Additionally, Manley’s personal connection to education extends through his family, with both his children and grandchildren having attended BCA.
This demonstrates a family tradition of prioritizing quality education and
active community involvement, further reflecting Manley’s values and
commitment to the betterment of society.
